I spent way too much of this year playing
World of Warcraft. My flatmate and work colleague Florian joined me in Azeroth at the start of the year, so we were hitting it pretty hard (there were a few all-nighters involved). It's a dangerous thing playing an MMORPG with someone you live with. In the end I had to quit the game so that I could actually fulfill all of my sight-seeing duties.
2006 was a good year. I was working at Framfab as a contract designer. It was a pretty cool agency (and I hate agencies) where one could play some pool to unwind. A few of us at work even started up a basketball team in Stratford. In the end they offered me a full-time position, but it was really time for me to leave London.
Where: London, England.
Regular Huants: Ten Ten Tei, Carluccio's, Young Cheung, C&R, Laureate, King's Road and Exmouth Market.
Memorable Moments: Battersea Bridge getting hit by a stray barge (it closed down for a month or so). There was also a whale that beached itself along the Thames just outside our housing estate.
Interesting Stuff: They spent around £100,000 trying to save that whale.
Personal Notes: Battersea is a nice place to live.
Firsts: First Webber barbecue.
