Well, what can you say about Paris. Everyone has pretty much been there. It was however nice to be taken around town by Florian since he had previously lived there for 11 years. We got to check out some pretty cool areas such as le Cour Saint-Émillion near Bercy, a place that is not exactly on the tourist trail. There was also the visit to the food market at Bastille, again something only an insider would know about.
Natasha had visited Paris twice before, but this time she finally got to see the palace at Versailles. She likes her palaces. I on the other hand have less refined tastes and wanted to visit the Catacombs of Paris. As we found out, they close pretty early so we unfortunately missed it on the last day. If walls of skulls and bones are your thing, make sure you get there early.
People: Me, Natasha and Florian.
Memorable Moments: Dinner at Chai 33 and smoking shishas at Bertrand's place (with his kids running all over the place).
Interesting Stuff: The suburban riots of Paris ended a week before Easter.
Personal Notes: I really started to like fresh oysters on this trip.
Firsts: First time to Paris!
