November 18, 2008 / Bambous, Mauritius

> continue reading

September 6, 2006 / Bambous, Mauritius
Bambous is a small village towards the west coast of Mauritius. It is where my mother grew up in a family of 8 children, and it is where most of them still are today. Here, life is simple. There are two main roads and river stream which run through this small town. One can find a collection of odd shops, bunker like schools and people relaxing underneath mango trees. Apart from walking, the bicycle is the most common form of transport as most families cannot afford a car. The typical home is a construct of wood, corrugated iron and concrete. January 1, 2006 / London, England
- Save a bit of pound sterling (not that easy here)
- Rehabilitate my knee and finally go snowboarding somewhere in Europe
- Continue to explore London and travel overseas
- Redesign this damn blog and make it use dynamic pages
- Learn some basic Mandarin
- Finish intermediate French / Terminer le français intermédiaire
- Level-up my Dwarven hunter (World of Warcraft)
- Eat more fruit
I think I'll level up my hunter first :)

July 5, 2005 / London, England
Natasha and I took Gavin out for dinner last night as he it was his last night in London. After spending 1 year of doing the 'Europe thing' he's heading back home to Australia. We'll miss you bro! All those fun times: playing Big 2 while watching the countryside pass us by; sharing double beds between the 3 of us, just to save money on accommodation; speaking to old drunk French men with our bad French; and spending a lot of time and money eating great European food.
